ANN AND LEROY HARMS
Our experience with the Butlers was wonderful. They helped us select the fabric for upholstering our sofa, and we couldn't be happier. The workmanship was excellent and the sofa was finished in a timely fashion. The Butlers were delightful to work with!

Butler's Sewing Center has made the school auditorium stage curtains for Seaford Middle School and Seaford High School, has maintained the classroom blinds, upholstered and maintained the auditorium seats, matched existing historic fabric, remounted and repaired auditorium seats, and made a custom backdrop for our outside high school graduation-framework and fabric. They have been willing to tackle anything we needed, no matter how unusual the request. They even resized and installed an automated ceiling screen for audio visuals in the auditorium. Butler's does a wide range of unique custom work. There was never an issue with any project. The work was done correctly and on time, which was often critical before a school year opening. We are indeed fortunate to have this quality and diversity of work available right here in Seaford, without having to bring anyone in from distant metropolitan areas. We've been more than pleased with all the projects the Butlers have completed for us in the Seaford schools.

I had never made a quilt until about a year ago. At that time I bought fabric at Butler's and took a quilting class under Shirley's expert teaching. During this year, I've made several baby quilts and quillows (a quilt that folds into a pillow) for the older children. I really love it! I'm retired and have enjoyed making handmade gifts, which are now heirlooms for my grandchildren and others. I expect them to pass the quilts along to their children when they're grown. Each one is made with love. Shirley is a good teacher, patient and knowledgeable. I've never seen her stumped by a question!

I moved to a retirement community and found that Butler's was able to make my new home look beautifully coordinated and charming. Working with them was easy and painless! They brought all the fabric samples to me and helped me in selecting lovely coordinating fabrics. They created window treatments for my entire home, along with two bedspreads, a shower curtain for the master bath, upholstered a sofa bed and chair, and covered three chair seats. Lots of throw pillows were made from smaller pieces of the coordinating fabrics. The whole job was speedy, with no long waits. They were here when they said they would be here. It was a pleasant experience all together.

I had never made a quilt until I took a quilting class from Shirley Butler. I've made four quilts in all, but the first one was a queen-size quilt-quite an undertaking for a beginner. However, I really enjoyed it because Shirley was such a great teacher, patient and always so clear in her instructions. The project was easy because I chose the fabric in her shop, Shirley taught me what to do, and I continued to work on it at home. I found quilting to be so relaxing. I've made other things, as well...a handbag, storybooks for my grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and curtains. Shirley was always good at helping me select the right pattern to go with the right fabric. The Butlers have also made custom drapes and blinds for my home-I couldn't be more satisfied!
